Answer Trivia On Facebook To Win 4k Spins On Intertops

You might want to get ready to take notes before proceeding, so make sure you have a pen and a piece of paper next to you, or simply turn on the calendar app on your phone. This week, Intertops is running a trivia contest on Facebook from August 16th to 19th, awarding a total of 4,000 extra spins…

Additionally, the operator is giving away 2,000 more to five players who enter the final draw, so get that grey matter working, and jump over to their profile if you want to win a share.

The questions are about Intertops’ casino games, and since their portfolio consists of Betsoft, Worldmatch and Lucktap, it should be quite easy to answer, even the slightest details…

50 Extra Spins Every Day

Intertops will post new questions on Facebook each day, and participants who answer the questions will be able to see their posts the next day. Therefore, the operator will award 10 players with 50 additional rounds each day!

However, since there can be more than one correct answer, winners may also be chosen at random. At the end of the trivia, players will enter the final draw and five of them will scoop another 2,000 spins! How awesome is that?

Know Casino’s Favorites

Intertops is also known as a poker room, so it is very important to concentrate on its casino section and notice the popular releases first. For example, Betsoft has recently launched Ogre Empire, a Shrek-like creature that terrorizes a fantasy kingdom. Furthermore, under the Worldmatch tab, you can find classic slot, Hercules, which is highly liked among regular customers.

Digging through the catalog can take you further to Lucktap’s editions, but also open a path towards table games such as Blackjack or Baccarat. Take a look around and you might see a pattern that could help you answer as many questions as you can! After all, the most attractive poker platform is known for offering only the best deals, and this one is definitely a smacker.

Have fun!!

Mystery Prize Gaming Machines Now Deemed Illegal Gambling in Singapore

Casino News Daily
Mystery Prize Gaming Machines Now Deemed Illegal Gambling in Singapore

Mystery prize vending machines are now illegal in Singapore, according to an announcement made by local police cited by news outlet the Straits Times. A ban on the machines is being rolled out as their number has grown tremendously over the past year and at least four operators of such devices have been found to have set up business in shopping malls, retail stores, and arcades across the city-state.

Generally speaking, the machines in question dispense random non-monetary prizes upon receiving a cash payment by players. They usually charge between S$5 and S$10. The “mystery box” prizes they dispense are usually of low value, but operators of the machines often promote them as ones that offer customers the chance to win big prize such as gaming consoles and smartphones.

According to a Thursday statement by the local police, the devices represented a form of public lottery and were therefore breaching provisions of the Common Gaming Houses Act. The statement further read that operators of such vending machines were advised to cease their operations. Under Singapore’s gambling laws, violators of its provisions face prison time of up to five years and fines of between S$20,000 and S$200,000.

The machines originally gained popularity in Japan, Malaysia, and Taiwan, but have quickly taken off across Singapore over the past year, the Straits Times reports.

Claw Machines Not Gambling

Police clarified that unlike “mystery box” machines, those at arcades that allow customers to grab a prize with a claw in exchange for a certain fee, are not considered illegal gambling. The reason was that players can easily see the prizes they are paying and playing for.

When asked whether other forms of mystery boxes, including ones offered on e-commerce platforms, should be deemed gambling, authorities said that it is up to the public to seek legal advice on matters of this nature.

Commenting on whether mystery prize vending machines posed a threat to players, addiction specialist Thomas Lee told the Straits Times that he did not think the risks of addiction were that big. He went on to say that the only real danger is that children can get hooked up and spend money on them.

According to the expert, the idea behind gambling is that people wager on a random outcome, on something they do not have control over, and that it does not really matter whether there is something at the end or not, as it is still gambling.

The Straits Times further reports that mystery prize vending machines across a number of shopping malls, arcades, and stores have been removed overnight, following the Thursday statement from the police. However, there were still several facilities that featured the devices, with their owners claiming they did not know that those were now illegal.

Who Won The Big 4 at the 2018 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open

Casino News Daily
Who Won The Big 4 at the 2018 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open

Another Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open festival was completed at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, and that one was, too, utter success. And for another year, organizers included four special events in the festival’s schedule that comprised the Big 4 for some extra poker thrill.

This year, the four events drew a combined field of 2,099 tournament entries who generated a combined prize pool of $9,232,750. Who won what at the festival and who managed to score a back-to-back victory, Casino News Daily has prepared a quick overview of the four tournaments with important highlights from those.

$5,250 Championship Event

The $5,250 buy-in Championship was among the highlight tournaments within the festival and was probably the most broadly anticipated one. This year, it featured a guaranteed prize pool of $3 million, but that guarantee was smashed due to the high attendance. A prize pool of $4,432,900 was created eventually by the Championship’s 914-person field.

Brandon Eisen took down the major event to become the big champion. Aside from the accolades that a winner deserves, the player also collected a first-place prize of $771,444 for his efforts. Including his latest cash, which was actually his best career in-the-money finish, Eisen now boasts a live tournament bankroll of $1,514,312.

Last year’s edition of the tournament drew a field of 887 entries, who generated a prize pool of $4,301,950. Martin Kozlov was the last man standing at the end of the ordeal, collecting $754,083 for outlasting his fellow competitors.

$1,100 Big 4 No-Limit Hold’em Re-Entry

The two-day $1,100 Big 4 No-Limit Hold’em tournament took place over two days – August 13-14 – to lure 640 entries into the field. That resulted in the overall prize pool of $640,000 easily crushing the $500,000 guarantee.

Ireland’s Marc MacDonnell was the last man standing from that field, outlasting a number of seasoned poker pros and surviving a six-hour battle on the final day. The player scooped the lion’s share of the prize pool, which totaled $119,465. His was the tournament trophy, as well. MacDonnell added that latest monetary prize to his bankroll which now totals more than $1.9 million.

During last year’s Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open, the $1,100 Big 4 event attracted 633 competitors who swelled the $500,000 guarantee to $633,000. It was Bryan Altman who emerged victorious for a first-place prize of $118,157.

$2,650 Big 4 No-Limit Hold’em (Single Re-Entry)

The $2,650 Big 4 turned out to be particularly exciting as the event’s 2017 champion was vying for a back-to-back title. The tournament drew 422 entries this year to bring the prize pool up to $1,023,350. It took place over August 12-14.

Alex Foxen, who won the event at the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood about this time last year, managed to take down its 2018 edition as well, but not without putting quite some effort into accomplishing that. The player took down the tournament after a strenuous final day of action that involved 12 hours of play, including a fierce heads-up battle. Foxen was eventually awarded $208,452 for his back-to-back win.

The event drew 395 entries last year who fought for a share of a $1-million guaranteed prize pool.

$25,500 Big 4 No-Limit Hold’em (Re-Entry)

Last but not least, the $25,500 buy-in high roller tournament drew quite some interest and the field count eventually showed 123 entrants who smashed the $2-million guarantee generating an overall prize pool of $3,136,500.

It was popular poker pro Jake Schindler who remained the last man standing. The player outlasted a hefty and seasoned field that included the likes of Shaun Deeb, Tom Marchese, and Barry Hutter among those who made it to the final table. Schindler took home $800,758 for another major poker accomplishment.

The tournament lured 117 entries last year who created a prize pool of $2.925 million. John Andress claimed the title for a monetary prize of $801,450.

Jeju Shinhwa World Casino Thrives Despite Chinese Boycott

Casino News Daily
Jeju Shinhwa World Casino Thrives Despite Chinese Boycott

The Jeju Shinhwa World integrated resort located on South Korea’s Jeju Island has raked in KRW369.4 billion (approximately $327.7 million) in revenue since its grand opening in February, local news outlets report. The property features one of the island’s nine casinos as well as a number of non-gambling options.

The reported figure places Jeju Shinhwa World well ahead of its local rivals. According to official data, Jeju Island’s other eight casinos generated the total amount of KRW136.5 billion during the same reviewed period. In addition, the Jeju Shinhwa World resort took in around five times more than South Korea’s biggest casino, Paradise City located in Incheon.

The Jeju Island-based resort was developed and is operated by Hong Kong-based real estate developer Landing International Development. The company commenced construction on what turned out to be a KRW2-trillion mega-scheme in 2014 and began opening the property in phases from April 2017. Aside from a gaming floor, the resort also features a hotel, a convention center, retail space, theme and water parks, a concert hall, and multiple food and beverage facilities.

Jeju Shinhwa World welcomed some 350,000 international visitors since it launched and around 115,000 played at its casinos, the resort has revealed.

Jeju Shinhwa World Shines amid Rivals’ Struggles

The Jeju Island has long been a popular hub for Chinese tourists. However, the island was among the places around South Korea to be hit the hardest last year by the economic cost of China’s unofficial but wide-ranging boycott of South Korean goods.

Among other things, Beijing banned group tours to Korea which saw the number of Mainland China visits to Jeju fall steeply. As a result, the island’s casinos, which relied heavily on Chinese VIP customers, experienced sharp declines in their gaming revenues.

Jeju Shinhwa World, on the other hand, appeared to have adopted a different model that eventually helped it mitigate the consequences of China’s ire. Instead of relying solely on Chinese customers, the resort stepped up its efforts to attract visitors from other countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

Serena Eng, Vice President of Marketing at the casino, said that they assembled teams that had to draw and cater to VIP guests from Japan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan and hired more staff that spoke Cantonese and Taiwanese Mandarin instead of relying solely on Beijing-style Mandarin-speaking staff members. That helped Jeju Shinhwa World reduce the proportion of its guests from China to just 50%, compared to up to 90% at other resorts across the Asia-Pacific region.

In addition, the resort’s casino paid special attention to VIP marketing as it derived 80% of its revenue namely from high roller players. The gaming floor at Jeju Shinhwa World currently features 165 gaming tables and half of these are dedicated to VIP players. In comparison, other resorts across the Jeju Island use just about 15% of their tables for high roller gaming action.

MGM Springfield Denied Request for Animated Parking Garage Sign

MGM Springfield Denied Request for Animated Parking Garage Sign

MGM Springfield’s request for an animated parking garage sign was denied by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission during a Tuesday meeting. Gaming commissioners voted 5-0 against the use of animations citing public safety and distracted driving concerns, local news outlet MassLive reported.

The parking garage sign will instead have rotating static images that will change every eight seconds. Gaming Commission spokeswoman Elaine Driscoll said that commissioners agreed to reconsider the issue after three months.

The announcement comes less than ten days before MGM Springfield’s grand opening on August 24. The property, developed and operated by Las Vegas gaming and hospitality giant MGM Resorts International, will be Massachusetts’ first commercial resort with a casino floor.

MGM Springfield lodged its request for an animated sign back in March. The casino told state gaming regulators at the time that its third-party consultant, Watertown-based VHB, had assured it after evaluating multiple studies that there had not been a “statistically significant correlation” between “outdoor electronic signs and driver safety”.

It was last week when the casino resort had its sign installed and lit up on the seven-story parking garage, just below its marquee. It now features a message that reads “We’re ready to roar” referring to the upcoming opening of the property and to MGM’s signature Leo the Lion mascot. MGM Springfield had its version of the emblematic lion put up last week.

The hotel and casino resort occupies several blocks in the downtown-South End area of the city of Springfield. MGM invested $960 million in what would be Massachusetts’ first commercial casino. Aside from a gaming floor with table games and slot machines, the property will also feature a six-story hotel, multiple food and beverage and entertainment facilities, and a parking garage, which MGM announced recently will be free for visitors and guests of the resort.

No Smoking

MGM Springfield officials confirmed earlier this week that smoking will not be allowed on the casino floor. The property will thus become one of nearly 800 casinos across the nation that are smoke-free.

Under the Massachusetts’ gambling regulations, all gaming venues operating on the territory of the state must be smoke-free. The Plainridge Park Casino gaming hall, which opened doors in Plainville in the summer of 2015, does not allow smoking on its gaming floor under the same requirements. The Encore Boston Harbor integrated resort currently under development in the Greater Boston area will, too, prohibit smoking at its casino.

MGM said that its Springfield resort will feature outdoor areas that will be designated for smoking. The operator pointed out that while regional competition, driving distance, weather conditions, and socioeconomic factors might impact the performance of a casino quite negatively, smoking status was not a factor that they are concerned by.

Hong Kong Police Nab 22 Individuals on Gambling Charges

Hong Kong Police Nab 22 Individuals on Gambling Charges

Hong Kong police arrested a total of 48 people for providing and participating in illegal gambling services, suspected ties with triads and organized crime, and conducting other illegal activities on the territory of the city in the last round of raids as part of a larger crackdown.

Local news outlets reported citing information from Hong Kong police that 22 people were nabbed on gambling charges earlier today as part of the three-month Thunderbolt 18 operation aiming to purge illegal activities from taking place in Hong Kong. Police officers raided two residential units in the city’s North Point to arrest the suspects and seize HK$25,500 (approximately $3,200) in cash, arcade game machines, gaming cards, and two accounting books containing information about wagers taken.

Two of the individuals were arrested on suspicion of operating illegal gambling establishments, while the other 20 were arrested for gambling. All detained individuals are to be questioned.

Under Hong Kong laws, people providing illegal gambling services face penalties of up to HK$5 million and jail time of up to seven years. As for individuals engaging in illegal gambling activities, they can be entitled to fines of up to HK$30,000 and up to nine months in jail.

Thunderbolt 18 Operation

The Thunderbolt 18 operation was held over three months and officially ended today. It involved police raiding properties across Hong Kong where suspected illegal activities were taking place and people with links to the triads and other criminal organizations were believed to be residing.

During the first two months of the operation, Hong Kong police detained over 3,000 individuals, seized illegal betting records worth more than HK$220 million (approximately $28 million) as well as illegal drugs and other goods. The operation also saw the closure of more than 3,000 gambling dens and other illegally operated facilities during its first months, according to information by Hong Kong police.

One of the raids involved the confiscation of HK$77 million worth of betting records back in June. The raid was conducted by Hong Kong and Shenzhen police. As many as 50 people were arrested for their participation in the massive cross-border bookmaking ring that targeted customers ahead of and during the 2018 World Cup.

Packed with exciting twists and turns, this year’s edition of the major football championship saw record betting volumes and the Asia-Pacific region was leading the way, even though betting on sports is mostly illegal in that part of the world.

Authorities from around the region ramped up their efforts to crack down on the provision of betting services, but billions of dollars were still wagered illegally during the Russia World Cup by Asian bettors. The rise in betting volumes was attributed to the easier access to betting services through smartphones and various apps and the much smaller time difference between Russia and other Asian countries.

The Magic of Little People

Latest Casino Bonuses
The Magic of Little People
The Magic of Little People

Marcello Mastroianni one of the most incredible actors Italy ever produced. He made his fame starring in Federico Fellini's classic films, like 'La Dolce Vita' and 'City of Women.' But other directors found his talent for expressing himself on the screen equally fascinating and starred him in such films as 'WifeMistress,' 'Gabriella' and 'Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow' where he appeared in three separate stories with Sophia Loren.

One of the last movies Mastroianni made before his death, and one of my favorites, was 'I Don't Want To Talk About It.' In the storyline, Marcello appears as a wealthy eligible bachelor who falls in love with a dwarf.

Charlotte is an attractive artistic woman who is an accomplished musician and horsewoman. Her only problem, if it is a problem, is that she is a little person, something her over-protective mother refuses to talk about.

Against all rhyme or reason, Marcello finds himself captivated by Charlotte and comes courting. The girl's mother thinks he is interested in her and is shocked when Mastroianni proposes marriage to her daughter.

The film was released in 1993. I have viewed it several times and enjoyed it more each time because of Mastroianni's performance.

I thought about the movie recently because of a long past association with Judy, a small person who worked as a receptionist for a newspaper that employed me as a reporter. The Evening American was a daily newspaper owned by Evan Mecham, a Mormon Bishop who would serve as Governor of Arizona a short time before his political enemies managed to remove him from office.

Almost from the first day I met Judy, I knew she was special. Crippled from birth with a spinal defect, she walked with crutches. She wore a wig, glasses and an engaging smile that never seemed to go away.

I don't know if this is true of all little people, but Judy was one of the luckiest people I have ever met. Every time we had an office pool, whether it was on the Kentucky Derby or some other game of chance, Judy seemed to win.

I asked her about her good luck. She simply shrugged.

'Well, the good Lord took away my ability to walk, so I guess He figured He had to compensate me somehow,' she said.

When she traveled to Las Vegas, she almost always seemed to win whether she played the slots, shot dice or played blackjack. She would spend a weekend there with her mother and return to Phoenix with her purse filled with money.

At the office cocktail parties our newspaper occasionally threw for political leaders or other newsmakers, she was delightful. It didn't take much wine to intoxicate her diminutive frame. After a couple of glasses of chardonnay, she would make her way over to me and tell me she needed my protection.

'What for, Judy?' I asked, genuinely concerned.

'That man over there,' she would whisper, pointing into the crowd. 'He has his eyes on me. I think he wants to seduce me.'

It was all her imagination, of course, but Judy took it seriously and because I was her friend, so did I. I would make it my business to stay close to her until the party ended and she could be whisked safely home.

I don't know. Maybe dwarfs have magical powers. Like Judy said, perhaps God gives them those powers to make up for their limitations. That seemed to be true in Judy's case. It worked for Charlotte, who snared Marcello Mastroianni and that isn't a bad catch by anyone's standards.

Resorts Set to Open Physical Sports Book on August 15

Casino News Daily
Resorts Set to Open Physical Sports Book on August 15

Resorts will become Atlantic City’s fifth casino to be operating a physical sports book, the property itself has confirmed in a press release. Its betting facility is slated to open doors on Wednesday at 11 am, pending approval from New Jersey gambling regulators.

Earlier this month, Resorts became New Jersey’s first casino to launch online and mobile sports betting. The roll-out of its digital offering was the result from its partnership with DraftKings. The casino has also recently sealed a partnership with The Stars Group, owner of the BetStars betting brand, among others.

Resorts’ physical sports book will feature a 12-foot video wall as well as 15 television screens. There will be six betting windows and four self-serve kiosks located across the facility.

Resorts will be Atlantic City’s fifth casino to launch a sports book on casino premises. The Borgata was the first to open a betting facility as part of its gaming floor. Its physical sports book went live on June 14. Ocean Resort Casino launched its sports book on June 27, followed by the Wild Wild West Casino at Bally’s, which took its first sports bet on July 30. Most recently, Harrah’s went live with a temporary sports book.

Initial Financial Information

According to official data by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, the amount of $16.4 million was generated in sports bets in the period between June 14-30. That figure included bets taken in by the Borgata, Ocean, and Monmouth Park racetrack, which, too, began operating a sports book on June 14.

Revenue generated by the three properties amounted to nearly $3.5 million, with Monmouth leading the way with $2.3 million, followed by the Borgata with $986,831 and Ocean with $192,671.

New Jersey was the first state to legalize sports betting, following the mid-May annulment of the federal ban on sports betting. The state was actually the one to lead the push for the eventual lift of the ban for a number of years and eventually brought the matter to the US Supreme Court.

SCOTUS announced last year that it would review New Jersey’s petition and issued its ruling, favoring the state, on May 14. The decision of the nation’s top court made it possible for all 50 states to legalize sports betting if they believe this would be a positive move. The 1992 PASPA ban prohibited betting on professional and amateur sports leagues at a federal level.

New Jersey managed to craft a sports betting legislation and go live with sports betting operations within a month after the ban’s annulment. The move came as another important manifestation of the busy year the state’s gambling industry has had. Aside from the legalization of sports betting, New Jersey and Atlantic City, in particular, has seen the opening of two new casinos – Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City and Ocean Resort Casino. The two new properties and the legalized sports betting offering are hoped to help the state’s gambling sector revitalize after a disastrous decade that culminated in the closure of five Boardwalk casinos within two and a half years.

From .Com To .Org: LCB Entering Next Stage In Branding

It should come as no surprise that corporate changes are a part of everyday life, especially when a company is ready to take the next step in evolution of branding. If you at some point got hooked on our newsletter, you probably already know that we are about to make a huge shift towards presenting our label, given that our team has reached a well-established reputation and awareness level in the industry.

At this point in time, the vast majority of those familiar with the network are inclined to refer to it as the simpler and much catchier, ‘LCB,’ dropping the lengthy, ‘LatestCasinoBonuses’ moniker…

…So, without further ado, the team has made the choice to make it official and has agreed on changing the company’s domain to a much more suitable and recognizable omen – lcb.org. Those of you, who are not familiar with technical terms, the org stands for organization, which corresponds with the brand’s current position in the iGaming industry.

Passion Changes Everything

“If you want something new, you have to stop doing something old” – a famous entrepreneur once said, and we, as a team, are extremely proud of what has been achieved since the foundation back in 2006. Soon after becoming a multiply awarded site, dedicated to delivering top-notch reviews and bonuses, but also access to free games and premium tournaments, the site became home to more than 80,000 registered users…

…Thanks to our amazing members, who helped us to improve our portal by providing feedback, first hand comments, tips and shared posts, we grew to a place with over 2,000,000 visitors in a single month!

In 2007, other networks joined, and LCB slowly began its walk of fame. After the launch of Casino Listings, an elite directory with trusted online casino reviews, the network established three more sites in 2009, and extended its outreach to bingo, poker and sports vertical. You might know our sister brands as Latest Bingo Bonuses (LBB), Latest Poker Bonuses (LPB) and Latest Sports Bonuses (LSB) whose exclusive offers are always up-to-date, thanks to our dedicated team.

Best Casino Affiliate

To show its true capacities, as well as to meet the needs of players on a global scale, LCB continued with acquisitions through 2011, when two more brands were added to the portfolio – Casino Slots and Bingo Reviewer. The expansion eventually led to more affiliate awards, so the company received multiple accolades at iGB Affiliate Awards, including:

iGB Best Overall Affiliate 2014 iGB Best Casino Affiliate 2013 iGB Best Casino Affiliate 2014 and more.

Since the expansion required more experts from other verticals, LCB acquired a portal for amateur and professional blackjack players with onlineblackjack.com as well as a database of highest-rated casinos with almost 7,000 pages.

Nothing Changes

Perhaps the most important part of our growth as a company lies within our members, whose number reached an astronomical 100,000 back in December 2017. They are the reason why we still rock the industry on all fronts, and we’re forever grateful for that! It gives us the power to move forward and continue to be the best in business, and what is more important, it gives us the right to call LCB an organization. Cheers!

Note: LCB Network operates far more sites than any other affiliate, and Wizard of Odds, Wizard of Macau, Wizard of Vegas, and Bj21 are just some of them. If you’re interested in learning more about our directory, check out our ‘About Us’ section or contact our customer support.

LINQ Casino Slot Machines Go Down during DEF CON Hacker Convention

LINQ Casino Slot Machines Go Down during DEF CON Hacker Convention

Dozens of slot machines went down at The LINQ Casino in Las Vegas over the weekend and speculations quickly emerged that those might have been hacked, Mashable reports citing information from a person who was on the gaming floor at the time of the odd occurrence.

It is interesting to note that DEF CON, known to be the world’s longest running and one of the world’s largest hacking conferences, was taking place right across the street at Caesars Palace at the same time. Suggestions popped that a conference attendee might have been up to some major mischief, meddling with the gambling devices.

Matt Anderson, a conference attendee, told Mashable that it was around 1:00 or 2:00 am on Saturday morning when a number of slot machines went all down simultaneously. He went on to say that “ALL” slots appeared to be offline or were showing an error message. Mr. Anderosn talked to a pit boss, who was not able to provide him with information about what was going on and who was “kind of panicking.”

The DEF CON attendee’s recollections were very similar to a number of reports by people who took to social media to share information about the unusual occurrence at the gaming floor.

The Casino’s Response

A spokesperson of The LINQ, a hotel and casino resort owned and operated by Las Vegas gaming and hospitality giant Caesars Entertainment Corp., told Mashable that the incident was indeed atypical but denied any possibility for it to have been the result from a hacking attack.

He further explained that they were investigating the incident and that while they were still unaware of the reason, he said they believe the outage happening during a major hacker convention was “purely coincidental”.

Asked how many machines went down Saturday, The LINQ spokesperson was unable to provide an exact number, but judging by social media posts and a video Mr. Anderson sent to Mashable, it seems that quite some machines were showing error messages or were completely offline.

The casino’s spokesperson said that so far there was no evidence that the incident was the result from a hacking attack or was cybersecurity related.

There have been multiple stories about tech-savvy bandits targeting slot machines at casinos around the world in pursuit of profit. Casino News Daily reported earlier this year police in Bulgaria had arrested four individual after they were uncovered to have hacked gaming machines at casinos and gaming halls across the Southeastern European country, reportedly defrauding them of massive amounts of money.

The group of criminals had been able to meddle with the slot machines after obtaining remote access to those and to manipulate the outcome of games to gain profit in the process. Aside from the four arrested individuals, Bulgarian police had seized a large unspecified amount of money and equipment used by the hackers.

WSOP Circuit Kicks Off New Season with 1,056-Person Harrah’s Cherokee Main Event

It was just a few days ago when the 2017/2018 season of the WSOP Circuit ended with Warren Sheaves claiming the WSOP Global Casino Championship title and the accompanying gold bracelet. It is now time for the popular poker series’ new season and not only its first stop has kicked off in style at Harrah’s Cherokee in North Carolina, but it is actually approaching its end.

The Main Event of the first stop on the WSOP Circuit’s 2018/2019 calendar kicked off Friday at the host venue with the first of two starting flights. And Day 1B, the second starting flight, was completed last night with Louis Garza holding the chip lead with a total of 476,000, followed by Austria’s Eyal Bensimhon (pictured) with 393,000.

It was actually Bensimhon who made the biggest waves throughout the tournament’s second starting flight. The player won some massive pots early on Saturday to never lose his momentum until action wrapped up for the day. Other notables who made it through the day included Bryan Devonshir, JJ Liu, Dan Lowery, and Ryan Buckholtz, among others.

The second starting flight of the Main Event actually drew 647 entrants, of whom just 139 players secured their seats into Day 2. They will be joined by the survivors from Day 1A for ten one-hour levels at the host venue.

Day 1 Recap and Prize Pool

The first Main Event of the new WSOP Circuit season drew a field of 1,056 entries, of whom 409 joined on Day 1A and 647 entered on Day 1B. As many as 219 made it through Day 2 and will return at the host venue later today to compete for a spot among the Day 3 hopefuls.

Day 2 of the tournament will kick off with Day 1A chip leader Jeffrey Trudeau holding the overall chip lead. The player bagged and tagged 495,000 in chips at the end of the Main Event’s first starting flight to pull ahead of the rest of the field.

The WSOP Circuit’s new season came with slightly increased buy-ins, so it now costs $1,700 to enter the Main Event, up from $1,675. With registration now closed, organizers announced that the first Main Event of the new season generated a prize pool of $1,599,840, crashing the guaranteed prize pool of $1 million.

The top 108 finishers will receive a share of the money, min-cashes starting from $2,994. The money bubble is expected to burst at some point today. Each of the nine finalists at the tournament’s official final table will receive a minimum cash of $29,181. As for the winner, they will be awarded the top prize of $295,970 and the WSOP Circuit gold ring.

Harry Arutyunyan from Glendale, California took down last year’s edition of the tournament, beating a field of 1,022 entries and taking home the amount of $283,597 in prize money.

Play'n GO Rolls Out Rise of Olympus

It has become extremely difficult to find an appropriate slot game these days, simply because the market is - overcrowded. However, one cannot stay indifferent when it comes to high-end releases from leading software companies such as Play'n GO.

That being said, we hear that a lot of brand admirers and fans are still discovering the magic of Sizzling Spins, the provider's recent addition to the catalog. Take a closer look at Sizzling Spins at the end of this article.

To keep them well entertained as August slowly enters its second half, magnates of good iGaming solutions are getting ready to introduce another mighty title - Rise of Olympus.

The latest groundbreaker from Play'n GO features a 5x5 grid, based on a mythical era when Gods of Greek Pantheon ruled the Earth's realm. A powerful description like this already gives some insight in what you might expect as a player, but to really know more about making heavenly winning combinations, let's get deeper into it...

Active Rows and Columns

You can start making your first winnings by matching 3 or more symbols in a row horizontally or vertically. Since all rows and columns are active, symbols can easily become a part of multiple winning combinations. Nevertheless, you will need to stick to Zeus, Hades or Poseidon on their quest for great treasures, and, of course, use their divine powers to turn some non-winning spins into cash.

The god of sea, Poseidon, will offer you extra wilds; the thunder god Zeus will destroy LP symbols and Hades will transform the LP symbols, making a trinity of amazing Hand of God features to help you achieve some really big wins.

The Wrath of Olympus

A powerful game like this needs an exclusive feature and Wrath of Olympus is certainly the one you want to activate as many times as possible. Players will have to fill their on-screen meter using all winning combinations of the god symbols to trigger it, and once the meter is full, the game can unleash the full power of all three Hand of God features at once!

By experiencing the full power of the ancient gods, players will surely experience a sublime time playing this magnificent slot. In addition, clearing the grid from symbols will initiate the extra spins feature. By choosing Hades, players will be given 4 initial spins; choosing Poseidon awards 5 spins and opting for Zeus brings 8 additional rounds…

However, the main feature is not active during the extra spins part and if you manage to clear the grid during an extra spin, an instant prize of 100 x the bet will be momentarily won! Have fun!!

Greece Launches International Tender for €8 Billion Casino Project after Sept. 10

Casino News Daily
Greece Launches International Tender for €8 Billion Casino Project after Sept. 10

After a huge delay on the ambitious €8 billion Hellinikon casino project, Greece will finally launch the international tender for a license this fall. The Hellenic Gaming Commission has now invited all interested parties to submit proposals regarding the plans for Europe’s first integrated casino resort.

Back in February, the Greek Council of State gave a final approval for the construction of a major casino and entertainment resort at the former site of the Ellinikon International Airport (also spelled Hellenikon). Slated to become the nation’s biggest coastal resort and first integrated casino resort in Europe, the €8 billion project is also a key term in the country’s international bailout. This caused unrelenting pressure for launching the development as soon as possible.

The project has faced several delays over the past few years, sparking heated disputes between its proponents and environmentalists and archaeologists. Greek authorities are now aiming at finding a casino operator by the end of the year so that construction work can finally start in early 2019. The Hellenic Gaming Commission, which is the local gambling regulator, is now inviting all stakeholders to submit comments and make proposals. This public consultation about the investment project will run through September 10.

According to the regulator, the international tender for a casino license will be opened for bidding soon after that. The concessionaire who wins the tender will operate the casino for a period of 30 years. It will be part of a much larger project expected to create up to 10,000 construction jobs during development, as well as more than 70,000 direct and indirect (from the increased economic activity) jobs during the first five years of operation.

The Largest Tourism & Gaming Destination in Greece

In an official announcement, the Hellenic Gaming Commission said that the future casino would be an essential part of the coastal resort, which will transform the economy and the lives of millions of people in the wider Athens area. When it opens its doors, the resort will be key to the future development of the tourism sector in Greece and is expected to revitalize the slowly recovering economy and reduce unemployment.

It will cover a wide, 600-hectare area and will have hotels and residential buildings, convention facilities, entertainment and concert venue, themed parks, luxury retail and fine dining outlets, as well as a casino. Likely to occupy one of the 45-story Hellenikon skyscrapers, the casino will spread across an area of 15,000 square meters, with the gaming floor planned to cover around 8,000 sq.m. The remaining area of the property is intended for non-gaming facilities.

So far, the only gaming operator to express some interest in the future casino on the Athenian Riviera is the US-based corporation Caesars Entertainment. The Las Vegas casino giant has eyed the Hellenikon casino as part of its expansion plans but still has not disclosed any details regarding its potential participation in the tender.
